This morning, the Times published an article that by its very existence, calls into question the main characterization in its second paragraph.
In question is:
In a potentially embarrassing (albeit minor) gaffe, one of the Aug. 19 fund-raising letters that Ms. Pirro's campaign sent out was addressed to none other than Mrs. Clinton.
Guess what? By being in the Times, this potentially embarrassing non-incident just became an embarrassing news item. The letter was mailed to Senator Clinton at her old address, 1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW. Now, there's nothing potential about this. It's embarrassing. Combine this with a dismal fundraising performance, and the inane announcement speech, and Ms. Pirro is not only looking at getting crushed in this election, but perhaps finding herself left without her apparently coveted TV deal when it's all over.
