From the WaPo:
A new vaccine that protects against cervical cancer has set up a clash between health advocates who want to use the shots aggressively to prevent thousands of malignancies and social conservatives who say immunizing teenagers could encourage sexual activity.
So that's it folks. Make no mistake about it. The same people who went to bat for the AIDS virus by pushing abstinence-only sex education are now fighting on behalf of cancer (and, might I add, the Alito nomination).
I, for one, am positively dumbfounded. Is this really happening? Could anyone actually imagine denying a young girl access to a cancer vaccine?
I guess by "culture of life," radical conservatives (they don't deserve the Christian moniker) really mean "we want young girls to die unnecessary deaths."
